David Hancock transitions to non-executive role, joining enviolo’s board of directors.
enviolo publicly announced today that Ed Culley has been appointed new CEO of the company, based in Amsterdam, Ed will succeed David Hancock and assume his new responsibilities as of April 8th. Simon Breakwell, Chairman said “We are thrilled to have Ed as our new CEO. Ed has had a remarkable global career, he is ideally qualified to build upon all the great work of David and the team. Ed will lead enviolo through its next phase of development and expansion by continuing to innovate and deliver cutting edge technology to our partners worldwide”.
Ed brings considerable experience of sales, marketing and scaling innovative and engineering product led businesses. Ed was CEO of Whytes bikes and previously had a distinguished global career at Dyson in Asia, US and Europe concluding as SVP Business Global Development. Ed will replace David Hancock, who has been CEO since the formation of enviolo. David will become Founder and Non-Executive Director and Board member, as well as a Senior Advisor to the Board and new CEO.
David started to discuss his new role several months ago with the Board. David has been CEO of enviolo and its predecessor NuVinci since their inception. With over 8 years in the role, a growing family, and with the company’s success secured, David felt it was time for him to step back from day-to-day duties but still remain involved in the company’s direction and stewardship. David Hancock said, “After thorough discussions with the board, we have collectively decided that I will step back from being enviolo’s CEO. I am staying part of enviolo indefinitely and exclusively. I am excited to welcome enviolo’s new CEO, Ed Culley. Ed’s experience, expertise and acumen, past successes, and personality greatly impressed me. I am excited for enviolo’s future under his leadership.”
